Frequently asked questions
- How do I get started?
- Open the app, pick your treatment, choose whether it has a set number of cycles or is ongoing, and enter when your current cycle started. Then check in on days you have side effects, or tap "No side effects today."
- How do I show my care team?
- Open the Doctor view tab and hand them your phone, or tap Share PDF to send a one-page summary through your patient portal, email, or text.
- What do the grades mean?
- Your answers are matched to the National Cancer Institute's grading criteria (CTCAE v6.0) to give an estimated grade from 1 (mild) to 3 (severe). Your care team confirms the actual grade. You can see every question and grade in Settings → View grading criteria.
- I started a new treatment or stopped one. What do I do?
- Go to Settings → My treatment and tap Start new treatment or End treatment. Your earlier treatment is kept in your history.
- I marked a new cycle by mistake, or the date is wrong.
- Go to Settings → My treatment → Fix cycle. You can change the start date or remove the cycle. Your check-ins are kept.
- How do I connect Apple Health or a Withings scale?
- In the app, go to Settings → Apple Health → Connect Apple Health. For Withings devices, first turn on the Apple Health connection in the Withings app. New readings then appear on the Home screen. Pull down to refresh.
- How do I use Siri?
- Say "Log how I feel in Chemo Tracker," "No side effects today in Chemo Tracker," "Log my temperature in Chemo Tracker," or "Show my doctor view in Chemo Tracker." The app always shows you what will be saved before saving it.
- Can I use it in dark mode?
- Yes. Go to Settings → Appearance and choose Auto, Light, or Dark.
- Where is my information stored? How do I delete it?
- Only on your iPhone. To delete it, go to Settings → Your data → Delete all my data. See our privacy policy.
- Does the app cost anything?
- No. It's free, with no ads and no in-app purchases.
